Baby it’s cold…. inside?!

soap bubble, frost, snow

Admit it, who has succumbed to the lure of cosy nights in with the heating ramped up as the long sunny days are far behind us?

Are you a jumper and scarf in the house kinda person, or are you swanning around in your summer clothes whilst your radiators are pumping out the warmth you crave?

Whichever camp you’re in at the moment, sooner or later we all want to come home to nicely heated homes, however being warm comes at a price for so many.

Are you putting off clicking the switch on your boiler this year because you live in fear of a huge gas bill dropping through your door?

Do you go around turning the thermostat down after everyone else in your house turns it up as all you can see is your bank balance dropping?

Well let me tell you…

I used to be exactly like you!

I used to dread the drop in temperature and my children moaning that they were cold,  because having the heating on meant that the amount of money I spent on gas would increase; and it would increase a lot!

So when an old school friend came round one evening to show me how I could banish this worry and spend less money than ever before on my gas, and other household bills, I was intrigued!  Somewhat sceptical, but absolutely thrilled at the possibility of paying less for everything, instead of always needing to find more money for the increasing cost of my bills.  It couldn’t be any worse than what I was already paying, so I had nothing to lose by switching suppliers.

In fact my only real concern was that it would mean lots of faffing around for me, something which a busy single working parent like myself just really couldn’t be bothered with if I’m honest!

I was assured that the switching over of everything would be taken care of for me, the most I had to do was sit and have a chinwag with an old friend over a glass of wine; and as anyone who knows me can confirm, talking and consuming wine I have absolutely no problem with at all!  In fact I would go so far as to say I am utterly fantastic at drinking wine, probably a bit too fantastic if the truth be known!

But we should probably move along from the wine chat, otherwise I will find myself wanting a glass (bottle) and what I’m writing is most likely to take a considerable turn for the worse!

Joining the Utility Warehouse Discount Club that evening, which would give me cheaper bills, with none of the hassle did actually turn out to be a very good move on my part,  most definitely one of my best  (I have made some ludicrously bad decisions in the past so this was a welcome change!)

I now no longer dread the onset of the colder weather, and my children aren’t forced to layer on as many clothes as possible in a scene much like Joey from Friends (without the lunging!)  We can’t see our breath in the air and it is warmer indoors than it is outside, always a bonus when it’s bitterly cold out there!

This winter you too could be as happy as this lady clearly is… I can’t promise a rabbit in a box though, but I’ll give it a damn good try if you really want one!!

I liked what I experienced so much that I decided I wanted to give others the chance to be warm in winter without the worry of the gas bill eating into all their Christmas shopping money, so now it is me who is the person that pops round to have a chat with people, wine is not obligatory, but always welcome!

I input a few details and hey presto it’s all done!  I am the utility fairy who shrinks your bills and makes your world a happier, warmer place!

Sounds a bit fabulous doesn’t it?

Well it is very fabulous!

And I love what I do!

So if you are like I once was and you and your family are likely to be resembling the Smurf family sometime soon as you all turn blue from the cold and are freezing your bits off,  then give me a shout and I will be happy to get you sorted!

It doesn’t take long, in fact you don’t even have to see me!  I can even do it all over the phone for you whilst we both drink wine in our pyjamas from our respective sofas!

(ok so maybe the wine is an obligatory part of this process after all!)

Let me know what colour you prefer and I might even bring a bottle with me!

Perhaps the most important part of this would then be to say less money spent on bills equals more money to spend on wine! (other alcohols are available!)
